GREEN DISCUSSION”ENERGY DEVELOPMENT IN NEPAL-SOME REFLECTIONS”

On December 28th 2017 Nepalese Youth for Climate Action-NYCA together with Clean Energy Nepal-CEN organized Green Discussion program in ENPHO Hall, Tapagaun in presence of Mr. Suman Basnet (Renewable Energy and management Expert) in the Topic “Energy Development in Nepal -some Reflections”. Around 55 youth from different institutions actively participated in the Program. The main objeIMG_3658ctive of the program was to make the youth familiar about the Energy consumption scenario of Nepal and sustainable Energy access. According to Mr. Basnet saving 1 unite of Energy is equal to generating 1 unite of Energy so, we should use the Energy wisely. He also mentioned that Energy Access does not only include how many household have fit the electricity, Energy access means how many people are benefited quantitatively and qualitatively. He addressed the many queries that participants wanted to be clear about .He concluded by saying that willing power to change can lead to Sustainable Energy and sustainable development

 

OUTCOME OF COP23″POST COP”

On December 11, 2017 Nepalese Youth for climate Action-NYCA together with Clean Energy Nepal-CEN organized post cop in presence of the panelist Dr.Ram Prasad Lamsal (Joint secretary Ministry of population and Environment-MOPE), Manjeet Dhakal (Advisor to LDC chair at UNFCCC), Ugan Manandhar (Deputy IMG_1536director, WWF), Ganesh shah-Former ministry of Environment and Dr.Maheswar Rupakheti (Institute for advanced sustainability studies, Germany) and the youth participants from different institution. The main objective of the program was to address the outcome of the cop23 that was held in Bonn, Germany from Nov 6-17.
