United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) entered into force in 1994, aimed at reducing greenhouse gas concentrations in the atmosphere. The Conference of the Parties (COP) was designated as the supreme governing body of the Convention. 22nd conference of parties after successful Paris Agreement in COP 21 will be held in Morocco this year from November 7 to 18 November 2016.
During the COP, people try to pressurize the world leaders demonstrating different activities generally performed on Global Day of Action. Similarly, Nepal being in one of the extremely risk categories of Maple croft vulnerability Index, NYCA in solidarity to the global community is going to organize Message To global Community.
Message to Global Community is a campaign where messages from different community like youths, children, etc. who are vulnerable towards the effect of climate change will be collected and published in one of National Daily Newspaper.
Methods of Submission
- Participants must send the messages not exceeding 30 words to Global Community on climate change issues via email to our official email address; email@example.com with inclusion of their name and affiliated institution by 7th November 2016.
- The messages will be published in the national daily newspaper.
