Eco- Football 2010 “Goal - Against Climate Change”
In order to mark the world Environment Day 2010, NYCA and CEN is organizing “Eco-Football Match 2010” on 5th June, 2010 at ANFA complex, Satdobato.  The Eco-Football match will take place between team A: comprising of policy makers, environmentalists and media and Team B: comprising of celebrities and artists. The main purpose of the event is to bring unity among people of different areas and sectors into one area and create awareness against climate change.

The event is being held as a continuation of Eco-Football match 2009. The Eco Football match 2009, which was organized by NYCA and CEN on June 5th 2009, was highly successful in bringing the CA members, entrepreneurs, environmentalists, artists, and celebrities, media personnel together at one arena to address the issue of climate change and to raise awareness. The media attention and hype created by this event generated a lot of concerns among people towards this cause. Giving the continuity to the trend of celebration of World Environment Day by uniting people of different sectors of the society and making the issue popular, in order to create more awareness, involve more sectors in climate change issues and help them coordinate with each other to deal the issue in a more effective way, Eco Football match 2010 is being organized involving the distinguished personality’s viz. Media Personalities, Climate Activists, Business Entrepreneur, Celebrities and Policy makers.

The slogan of the World Environment Day 2010 is “MANY SPECIES•ONE PLANET•ONE FUTURE”. The theme itself emphasizes the fact that there is only one option for our future having a single planet, the Earth. The event will bring the individual personalities of different sector in the same platform to raise the voice of concern for our climate and environment and the well being here within. The presence of distinguished individuals will attract media attention and make the issue more height among the people.

The theme of the event is “Goal Against Climate Change” On top of that, the most awaiting World Cup Football is on the way and it is the best time to draw the attention to appeal for a trend of climate friendly World Cup Football, a huge event. This trend will be a remarkable step in putting the world a step ahead in taking the lead in climate friendly path.
