People living in extreme poverty often are the first to get impacted by environmental issues like climate change.
⌛By 2030, an estimated 132 million people living in developing countries could be pushed into poverty by climate change⚠️
Poverty cannot be entirely removed without correcting environmental injustices.💯
Let’s rebuild an equitable and sustainable world in which there is social and environmental justice for all. Fighting one problem definitely helps mitigate the other🙌
What is Climate change? 🤔 Are you aware of its causes and destructive consequences on the planet? 💬 What do you think are the possible solutions to it? 🙌
Salina Paudel, a student of grade 10 has simply explained it all here in the video⬇️
Don’t forget to drop your views on it🤗
This year the world Food Day 2020 theme is “Grow, Nourish, Sustain Together. Our Actions are Our Future”. There are people all over the world who are suffering from hunger. Starvation is a massive problem in several countries, and we need to do more to raise awareness and combat this problem. Let’s not waste any food and be mindful of our actions.
How clean and green would it be to have vehicles which are emission-free, helping to reduce air pollution and with less carbon footprint 😍
If you had to choose between vehicles running on fossil fuel or on electricity, which one would you choose? 🍀 Let us know in the comment section 👇
Why do you think the connection between gender and climate change is important?🤔
Well, Climate justice is impossible without gender equality. You read it right! In a country (Nepal) which is considered 4th most vulnerable to climate change, poverty and gender inequality are both still very prevalent.👱♀️
Girls represent a tremendous engine for transformational change towards climate justice. This year, under the theme, “My Voice, Our Equal Future”, let’s seize the opportunity to be inspired by young girls who are becoming change-makers. 👩🦱👩🦰

Highlighting the fact that Nepal faces high impacts of climate change despite being a low emitter of the greenhouse gas emissions, Chitra Rekha Basyal, a student of Forestry urges all 3 tiers of the government to strengthen the resilience and adaptive capacity of vulnerable communities to climate risks and hazards.
According to Pooja Bhusal, 21, from Province 5, deforestation is one of the most critical environmental issues which need urgent action. Its causes are soil erosion, increase in greenhouse gases whereas its consequences are floods and even outbreak of diseases like malaria. Hence, she highlights the need of awareness campaigns, afforestation and compensation.
